Nothing is going to happen till about the middle of may or so when the water warms up. After about the first week in my I check on it regularly to see if they have come in. One day they will not be there, then the next thing you know they are stacked up and hungry in the shallows.

Well you can catch a few off shore right now. But I think you are looking for the start of sight fishing. That will happen after the first 2 consecutive days of over 68 degree weather. The more days over that temp the more fish congregate.

Might be more likely to pull in a trout right now. Stopped by briefly last night - about 4 pm. Totally launch-able and ice free.

We went north of the outlet where lots of gills spawn in the weeds. There are no weeds there now - once they grow up, and water warms I'm sure they'll move in. Same on the bass, though they might start a bit earlier.

Pitched a few worms and waxies under a bobber, and nada. No bobbing.
Didn't try for long, didn't move around much.

Look forward to more reports. Sight fishing was fun last spring.
