Yesterday I started at the tailwater with Paul just to get a few fish in the boat. We were broke off by a few stripers and landed a striper and smallmouth. Really, I had a big blue on my mind though. I had high hopes for this morning. Only caught 3 fish at the t-race, but Scott had a toad smallmouth. I had a drum on a plastic bass worm which Scott went crazy over. Saw DK, figured he'd get a few big ones. I left around 9:00 or so, off to catch bluegill for Mr. Big Cat. We only caught 3, one small, another in the teens, and a 20 something. I guess if I could do it over I would have stuck around at the dam longer, but I really can't complain, I didn't want to miss a potential big cat bite. The only thing I'd rather catch than a big blue, would be a giant flathead. Something about my back hurting from a 4 footer, I just can't get it out of my system. Call me little Mike Mitchell, ERICM, whatever, I'm an addict.

It is great to see Chick Dam getting a striper run. I love making a combo trip with anchoring/drifting.

I am going to petition Obama and see if he can get summer break switched to april/may for now on!
