We got on the water about 1 due to my having work to do this morning. Started fishing the golf course area with jigs. Not much happening. Moved to spinner baits, slow rolling. Fished that for an hour or so, with only a bump two, then changed color, and slowed way down. That seemed to ring the dinner bell, but the wind began to really blow, and it was blowing us right into the bank. Very difficult conditions for a slow presentation. We ended the day with a few spotted bass, a nice chunky smallmouth, and what I suspect was another smallmouth, although I didn't get to see it. It pulled under the boat, taking drag and finally snapped my 6# line. I am sure the line was worn and I should have retied but was being lazy! Regardless it was a NICE day on the water. Temps were about 57 degrees, with a few warmer spots. Can't wait until next week! No pics, we forgot the camera, so it's just a fish tale.
