Fishing Forum

We went up on the Salmon thurs, fri and sat. Had some cold weather but we had a great trip. My 9 year old got to land his first steelie. I hooked em and he reeled them in. [fishin]He wants to head right back up. We met several guys on the river and they were really cool to my son and encouraged him every time he was catching a fish. He thought he was the best fisherman on the river. Thanks guys!! Some people get ticked off when others catch fish, but these guys just kept on cheering my son on. It was great. Does the fishing stay good till the end of the month? I want to try to get up one more time before it closes. Here is a pic of one of the ones we caught.

I was up fishing there also, you guys did better then most people or at least little man did. It was a riot watchin him reel those things in, it made his day, good job dad.

welcome to the forum!!!!! nice Fish your boy has there!!!!!! my 4 year old got his first steelhead off of the northfork of the clearwater this year. there is nothing like watching your son nail a steelhead. i was smiling as much as he was. im sure you were too. chip off the old block i say.
