[ul][li]more than half of my fishing spots have been closed to fishing over the last 50 years. mostly development, others is closure of parks due to cut state budgets. [/li][/ul]8. How many hours a day do you spend fishing?

1. Which do you prefer fly fishing or spinning rods?
Spinning rods
2. What time of day do you fish?
All times of day and night. Depends on what i'm targeting and where.
3. What day of week or days do you prefer fishing?
I prefer fishing around the middle of the week, for no other reason than the landing isn't as busy. But, i'm usually stuck fishing the weekend since I work fulltime.
4. Land or watercraft?
I fish from a boat 90% of the time.
5. How many fish do you catch and how many do you keep?
This depends on species. I very rarely have a bad day on the water, so I fair well on the catching part. As far as keeping, it really just depends on how good they are to eat, and how well their population is holding up to pressure.
6. What type of fish are you fishing for?
I mostly fish saltwater, but when i fish freshwater, I primarily target blue and flathead catfish. I love crappie fishing, but I don't get the chance to do so very often. I do, however, target panfish regularly in the shallows, more times than not to use for bait.
7. Are there any areas that have recently been closed to fishing and why?
No freshwater areas in my location have been closed, to my knowledge. On the saltwater side, there has been a lot of activity from our local SAFMC in regards to putting new catch limits and seasons in place. Much of that activity I have found to be bullshit.

If i'm fishing something like a catfish tournament, it's usually an 8 hour deal. If I take my son pond fishing from the bank, he usually makes it a couple hours before he gets bored. If I fish in the ocean, that can turn into a 10-12 hour ordeal.

I prefer weekdays when there are less people on the water but I would fish 7 days a week if I could. Unfortunately I am usually limited to weekends

Enough to feed my wife and I plus a few friends. Although I always release largemouth and smallmouth bass if possible

Anything that bites or can be (legally) snagged

Yes/no, a few areas are no longer fishable due to low water conditions on Lake Mead

Usually only 6 hrs/wk but I wish it was more, one trip a week never feels like enough!

4 -12 depending how sunburnt i get and how fast/slow the fishing is, and how much beer i have!!

both depending on my mood. i usually have at least 2 rods set up for lure, and one set up for bait.

O.K. in order both,both,both,both,I caught 83 bass personal best kept none,Alfred has caught 115 bass,kept none,fish for bass,Levee 30 has been closed due to dumping,but mostly for suspicious activity.Boats have been set on fire,also find dolls floating in the water ,lots of boats have been sunk there too,surely some bodies have been dumped there ,police tape is still found on the floor.usually fish 6to7 hours sometimes 8
