Hi. I found this item in my Dad's belongings, and being that I am not a fisherman, I'm having trouble identifying what function it serves or what it is called.

Anyone have any idea? It's not marked.

Thanks - J

I'll take a guess and say it's something you send down along your fishing line to retrieve a crankbait that got hung up on a branch under water.Has some years on it. Anybody have an idea whats it worth??

I googled this, and you are exactly right! Appreciate it very much.

Not sure what it is worth, there are some newly manufactured ones on e-bay that sold for around 7, but I'm not sure if it's the same one.

Thanks again!

If it gets your lure back and you nail a fish of a lifetime then *PRICELESS*

I thought I was the first to post,I remember saying just that,I got robbed.[Image: yell.gif], unless I forgot to send post?anyway I remember telling you that was why it had on some heavy mono,so you can pull up a branch or rip off the hooks on your lure.I would of had the first post,I think I got robbed[Image: angry.gif] I also mentioned I had never used one,I'm too pro.I use braided line.If I get hung up I puul tight on line by hand, then bounce the line, pretty hard.the recoil of the line is usually enough to get the hook out.I pull tight on line then releas it suddenly, giving it a recoil affect
