i remember vividly ( surprisingly ) a pic of the fishand game putting the fish in the lake after it was filled.. interesting about the cats...........i will have to give this a try it is very close to my house. i used to catch some nice 1-4 lb bass but i think they all got deep fat fried. i thought all that was in there was 8 " planters and 1 sturgeon ![laugh]

I've fished there a few times. I've only caught planter trout so far, but met a few nice people and had fun. I had heard about the catfish so been trying for some of those, never imagined there would be sturgeon.

Great story, but I've got a better one for you. Years ago [after movig here in 1990] I used to take my sons to the annula kids free fishing event sponsored by a local fishing club. Great event cause the sponsors provided kids with fishing gear and prizes for their catch. The last year [probably 1993 or 94] my younger son was age-eligible for the event we were treated to a real show. A little girl actually caught a sturgeon....about 2-3 footer as I recall. She was thrilled to say the least and her proud dad joined her in the water where she and her prized catch were photographed in accordance with regulations. Later on I spoke to a groundskeeper and he told me of seeing three in the pond from time to time. He wasn't certain how they got there.
