David and I put in at 9:30 at WT. We made a long run to fish main lake docks. Cloudy skies till about
lunch gave way to a burning sun. It took a while before we started catching crappie then we seemed to
be get a few fish on every stop. We were throwing 1/32 oz. jigs with BG baby shad in Outlaw Special and
Ghastly Minnow. Most crappie were in 6-10 ft. of water and hit on a 2-6 count with a steady retrieve. We
could not get away from the catfish, David and I landed 9 channel cats from 1-4 lbs., and they thump it
just like a crappie. We found one dock where we caught 4 female crappie all full of eggs. David had one an
1/8 in. short of 14 inches. Went back to the creek where we ran into heavy boat traffic, it did not stop us,
we still caught crappie. We talked to cuonthelake in the creek, she was looking for a place to fish too. Hope
you found em Candi, that was alot of boats and seadoos to deal with. I bent my prop on a stick, I'm surprised
I went this long without it happening. The fish in the creek looked spawned out. We finished with 46 keeper
crappie, all released. A very good day considering the lack of crappie reports lately.
