I'm thinking about heading down to S. Utah next wkend. I"m a little worried about early season fishing due to all the snow. I'm probably going to head to the Torrey area. Anyone know if the Fremont or Pleasant creek are active right now?

I would stay off the Fremont. It is flooding pretty well. There are fish to be had, but The water is very Turbid. Big spinners, and Lures, Spoons, and the ever present worm will do you good, fish the edges. Don't know anything about Pleasant creek.

I'd give them a try early in the day. Been a while since the storms but warm temps might push them back up by the weekend. Could always drive over the mountain if you have time. Escalante has fish scattered throughout in the springtime on good water years above the trailhead . Calf Creek from it's entrance to Escalante up to the State Park has some descent trout. Even little Deer Creek above the campground on the Burr trail has trout but they're pretty small. The Escalante River drainage snow pack is a little higher than normal but not extreme like the most of the rest of the state so it'll probable still be fishable this weekend.
