I tried the baitcast reel, hated it, what about a spinning reel? I know how to cast it and I want to know if there is a backlash problem on these reels. Can someone help

if your good on any thing you can use a spinning reel they do get line twist cause it twists up and will break the line sooner or later but like said to you earlier. the best reels out ther aree bait casters they take cordination and experince so do not give up on it. as for spinning reels buy a high quality reel for as little as posible i fish a lot of shimanos and quantums zebcos and the likes. i have never found a bad spinning reel cause they all do the same thing sooner or later you will give it up and head over to that bait caster. cause your bored after catching fish on a spining reel it is best to learn dynmaic of the cast like when to let go to get the furthest cast posible with as spinning reel. stuff like this comnplicate it with a biat caster. cuase of all the setting you have to do. like i am say just keep at it, you will enjoy it in the long run. but you do got to have fun some times. like me i got in to fly fishing cause i was bored now i am bored with that. and trying my hand at cat fishin / carpin have not cought one yet have not got it down pat lol's

the most i would pay for a good spinning reel is 30-40 bucks. the more expensive one are good but do not come with a life time warranty. unless things have changed and i did not know it cause paying $120 -$350 just is not needed. most of all when you fish rivers with lots of silt and fine sand in them. dunk the reel once and the reel is no good at 350 that would reelly suck to have happen. this is why i say to not spend more than 20 but a good reel i would not pay more then 40 for it. like a good Mitchel , quantum or similar try to get as smooth of one that is not all plastic. i would go to the store and try not to spend a ton is how i see it. if you fish shore or beaches same problem happens to the reels as river fishing this is why i do not suggest spending to much. but you will learn if a bass pulls it in or you drop it over board at 120 even at 40 you will learn.
try getting it with as many bearings as you can it makes the reel smooth and good same with the line buy a good casting line not trilene big game line which are stiff and cause problems . now triline xl smooth casting is the way to go. if you do not mind i will post some reels for you to look at later. maybe rods after that if needed

You do not need a Shimano Syemetre reel. Or similar because they cost to much $99.99 to fish unless you see it as a great hobby and want to. but I suggest not going that route I would say around 20-60 bucks is perfect 30 – 50 for a rod depending on what you like I like the old ulgy sticks but some will say st croix and g loomis cause you can feel every piece of rock and gravel on the bottom when salmon fishing. Shimano convergence rods carry a life time warranty keep in mind and are a good fishing stick I have a salmon steel one that is awesome. I only paid 39.99 for it they retail for $130.00. like I was saying stop in to a shop around you and pick up a couple of the reel in the display case some will be smother then others also pick up the rods and see if the action works for you. Me telling you what is best is wrong like I said I personally like shimano but the other like mitchell you can’t beat there smoothness or their reel s any ways good luck hope this list helps ya.shop around and get the best price on the reel you like most. Or buy it at the shop you stopped in those mom and pop shops are a value in them self’s cause of the wealth of knowledge .
also spinning reel do not get back lash like a bait caster does can get back lash cause of loose drags and a fish taking off up river. or you just got plain old line twist and when you cast it gets loops under the loops. which suck to get out some times with fish on. cause of the bail wire getting cought on a loop but spinning reel are damn easy to use. are easier for non pros lol's

Thanks I'll look into those
