Last year I did some morel hunting in Idaho and it was a lot of fun. I know there has to be some good places to look for them in Northern Utah. My guess would be next to the weber or ogden river would be a good place to start. I've also heard that places where there were recent forest fires are good morel habitat. I know there has to be a few fellow bft'ers like to hunt morels. Any tips will be greatly appreciated! Pm's are fine if you don't want to share your spot with everyone.
Im not trying to steal your post but ive been curious as well up in the cache vally area as well[Smile]

Mushrooms and Berries are probably two things you won't find many posts about on public boards. [Image: happy.gif]

Guess we're all going to just have to get out there and find them ourselves. MMDon is right about people being secretive when it comes to mushrooms, berries, and heck even fishing. From what I discovered last year though there are probably a lot more mushrooms that sprout, grow, and decompose than there are people harvesting them. Right now the weather conditions are perfect for growing morels so it's time to just go out and get em!
