Does anyone have any info on the view, water level and temp mainly. Was hoping to go tomorrow to do a shakedown run in the tube i got for my wife. I think it still may be early yet to do much catching there but am willing to give it a shot.
thanks

I drive by the View everyday on my way home from work so here's the latest.

Three RV rigs are set up at the Port Ramp for the summer boating season but I don't know if they are charging yet. The parking lot all week has received very little pressure. I suspect that will change this weekend with the NICE weather forecast.

There is a sign posted at the top of the ramp to fill out your Invasive Species questionaire, so don't forget to do that. Remember, this year you must have a copy in your tow vehicle and your watercraft

Water level has been on the decline this week and the Ogden River below the dam is raging bank full. Local kayayers are lovin it! I suspect the lake water level now is almost back to the mid-winter level as the old road across North Fork is visible once again. Probably down about two feet or so.

Water temp was upper 40s to bearly breaking the 50 degree mark two weeks ago when I took my boat out for it's annual shake down. I'm guessing water temp now around mid 50s. There was a recent report here on BFT about someone hooking up with a bucketmouth so the water temp must be on the rise and this weeks warmer weather will only help.

Water clarity all over the lake is slightly worse than Willard on the best of days. Coloration resembles buckskin tan right now.

Hope this helped?

Do I have to have an mussel cert for a float tube? I do know the decontamination methods and practice them with the float tube but am not sure if I have to have the certificate or not?
It seems like it wasn't until the end of may first of june it started to pick up there last year.
Thanks for the info and from what i understand they will start charging on the 6th for the boat ramp.

Yeah if it floats its a boat. You need the invasive mussels paper filled out. If you goto the DNR website (wildlife.utah.gov) you can take a short online class and test then print out your paper and use it all year. I did that for my toon.
