The biologist said it is a longnose gar .They had some trouble identifing it .they said the nose was to long to be a fl gar yet too short to be from a longnose gar.only 2 reported this far south. hometown hero . They had to cut under the jaw to look at something inside?So ya,at first he said "thats a longnose gar",then he said "let me check my books"finally he was fairly sure it was a spotted gar,he even shook my hand and congratulated me.
