hit up utah lake saturday with 4 buddies, 2 of us in kayaks the other 2 in a small boat. hit the water around 9am the cats started biting and never stopped, we ended up with over 20 caught. brought home 18, the biggest was 6lbs the rest were in the 2-3 lb range. A couple hours before we called it a day my fellow kayak-er (to our surprise) brought in this 10lb walleye! didnt have anything with us to measure her with cause we were only prepared with scales for cats. she was a solid 10lbs though, im guessing 33- 34inches. we let her go cause we werent sure if she had dropped her eggs or not. it was a perfect finish to a perfect day.

we tried it again today, same place,same bait, same technique. only 3 smaller cats this time, really slowed down. hope to catch a white bass or carp for a different bait option but couldnt get one of them either. oh well we will see what tomorrow brings
