Talking slot limits (dirty buggers!)

So - in some cases there are limits that say you can only have so many fish of a large size. Like the bass limits that said you could only have 1 over a foot. Or places where you can keep one tigermusky, if it's over 40inches?

While other slots say you can only keep a fish if it's below a certain size, and the C&R philosophy that big big old fish aren't as good for eating, and perform an important role as breeders.
Then elsewhere you've got an upper and lower limit like Cutthroats - less than 15 or bigger than 22.

I know it's debatable what works for a given fishery. But I've seen the recommendation to keep more of the smaller bass so the overall population has less competition, and fish will get bigger. Then you've got the no-limit white bass and stripers in some lakes.

Just curious what your theories are.

Here's a little one I caught, well sort of.
[mad]Hope you let that fish go![mad]
He was obviously snagged!

I think they should move the slot up at the berry to one over 27" the 21 3/4 inchers are getting boring to catch[Image: happy.gif]
