Full Version: Rockfish retention allowed seaward of 30 fathoms in Marine Area 2

Action: In Marine Catch Area 2 rockfish retention is allowed seaward of a line approximating the 30 fathom depth contour effective May 11, 2011. However, the 30 fathom bottomfish restriction in Marine Catch Area 2 is in place from March 15 through June 15. Possession of yelloweye and canary rockfish is prohibited at all times. The 30 fathom depth contour is described by the coordinates below:

47°25.67'N. lat., 124°34.79'W. long.<br />
47°12.82'N. lat., 124°29.12'W. long.<br />
46°52.94'N. lat., 124°22.58'W. long.<br />
46°44.18'N. lat., 124°18.00'W. long.<br />
46°38.17'N. lat., 124°15.88'W. long.<br />
Effective date: Immediately.<br />
Species affected: All bottomfish species.<br />
Location: Marine Area 2.<br />
Reason for action: This rule conforms Washington's recreational rules to federal action taken by the Pacific Fishery Management Council.<br />
