For those of who know me know that I had a pretty tragic hunting accident 10 years ago. I almost died and loss a lot of vision. Today I had the pleasure of taking fishing for the first time since he was 15 a guy from Atlanta that has designed a contact that helps me see well enough to not run over any one out on the Lake. LOL! Dan is great and I believe God put us together. I had been asking him to go fishing and he finally drove from Atlanta to take me up on the offer. I don't knoe if it ever hit 68 degrees like the weather man said, but it was cold running around today. Brrrr. But the great thing is there was just a light breeze and no white caps. emoCool We got on the water around 2:30 and asked some guys coming off the water how they did. They said they caught about 20 good fish in 4-8 Feet of water. So we tried some coves and threw mostly cranks although I did try a worm. Only got bit once. Small slick. Moved to a point that runs out from some deep water to very shallow water next to main lake. Tried some casts and worked all sides but only a catfish to show for all our hard work. Moved to a ledge and that was the ticker. Fished 11 to 40 foot of water and caught about 25 to 30 bass in the 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 range. Caught JMAX disease and had a five pull off at the boat when it jumped and shook. Couldnt get a net under it fast enough. emoDoh The best part of the day was seeing someone who has helped me so much catch fish for the first time since he was 15! emoUSA I will post some pictures. Water temps ranged from 64 to mid 70s<br />Marked a lot of bait deep and saw some getting busted shallow as well. Should be getting better next few days. emoAngler emoSun emoBigSmile
