Website shows Owhyee at full pool still. Anyone been out there lately? Wondering how the fishing is... Thinking of going out there on Sunday...

Jeep, one of the guys at work did pretty good last week on crappie. I would go giive it a try!

Ron , I was down therre last Saturday. Fishing for crappie was pretty good. I didn't get very far up res and picked up 50-60 fish in about 2 hours. The report I have gotten is the farther up res you go the better the fishing is. It is close to full pool and my temp sensor showed 55-59 degrees. We only targeted crappie so I can't report on anything else.

Were you trolling or pitching jigs? Also Did you go in Leslie Gulch? My uncle is almost blind and he wants to fish it a couple more times. He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer a couple weeks ago. He has a bucket list of things he wants to do in the next few months. Crappie fishing at Owyhee is hi on that list. Ron

We went in from the dam side,launched at McCormack .Primarily we just fished with red/white jigs and slipbobbers.

Ron, we were in at Leslie gulch on Wed. the fishing was pretty good. We found it best at 3 finger gulch on the south side. me and the wife caught 50 in a couple of hours. Red/White jigs on slip bobber. []Good Luck.

My son, Father-in-Law and I fished for 7 hours today and had a decent day. We were targeting Bass about half the time. Unfortunately we only were able to land about 10 bass and almost all of those were not that big...We did however have some fun catching crappie on occasion. In all we kept 121 which meant more cleaning than I wanted to do at the end of today.

So if you are after Crappie - The fishing is great.... for Bass... well wasn't very good for us. We will be back up this weekend, if anyone has had luck on Bass, let me know - would like to hear what you used and the location.

I wish... The electric fillet knife was at home! Decided to clean the fish at the cleaning station and just had regular knives on the boat.. guess I will have to start keeping the electric one in the boat perhaps.

Let me know how your Dwarshak trip goes! Might want to go there this summer myself.

Will do... I am a little concerned because the water level is coming up so rapidly. Sometimes that disorients the fish. Usually end of May first part of June is a great time to go. I don't know how this will effect the pre-spawn and spawn..... guess we will see....
