Heya guys,

Does anyone know a good mechanic in the northwest part of town? I currently use a place on Desert Inn, but that's a long way from my house. I am not looking for the best deals. I am looking for someone I can trust to charge a fair price for a fair job. I really don't wannna get screwed by an unscrupulous shop.

Thanks,

Check engine light is on and it's making a weird noise... sounds like the exhaust manifold, but I'm tired of self diagnosing it. I am taking it to a pro. Too many miles get put on my vehicle and I am not a fan of being stranded. I'll just take it to the mechanic I've been using. Don't fancy the hour round trip though. It's worth it in the end unless I get someone who is highly recommended much closer to me.

a fellow BFT member (DURAMAXSMOKE) is a good mechanic. He serviced my boat this year and says he works on all kinds of vehicles:

Hey mark,

Im no fan of any of the big corp car shops and I hate pluging companies but check out doctorauto yeah your paying $90 hr for labor and parts are marked up but its family run and they pride themselves on being honest as possible plus you get quality work. They have 2 shops on this side of town. Ive been there plenty of times and they only pissed me off once.
