About 10:00 am A couple of buddies and my self decided to head to PaliSades to drown some worms. Went up fall creek road all the way to where they have the road closed at Calamity. It was crazy to see how much the road has sunk up there [Image: shocked.gif]. Grabbed the beer, BBQ & fishing gear and walked down to the reservoir by the big head gates & set up shop. We fished had a few cold ones & BBQ the day away.

Fishing was better than expected [Image: smiley.gif] all total we got 12 browns all were 14"to 16" except two 1 was 19.5 and the other was 20.5 also got 4 chubs. The weather was great not a drop of rain and the reservoir was flat glass until 7:30 when the wind picked just a little. We did not see a boat all day witch is no surprise given how low the water is. From where we were we only saw 4 other fishermen pretty much had the place to ourselves. All in all not a bad way to spend the afternoon [Image: cheesy.gif] [Image: grin.gif]

I'd say that's a nice day of "drowning worms."

When are they gonna start filling the res. up? Is there really that much snow up there that they're leaving it empty til' June?

Congrats on the fishing.

It's going up 1% a day . They said if they closed the spillway today the lake would be full in 3 days . How was the water clarity . Curt G. P.S. Thanks for the report .

Good day.
I guess never take the appearance of the water as an absolute indicator of how the fishing is going to be. You just never know.
Not much snow above 8500-9000 feet has melted yet. Still have everything up four major drainages below the dam at Jackson Lake to run off for the most part, Buffalo Fork still holds most of its snow and needs to run off Gros Ventre, Hoback and Salt River have started to run off but lots left to go. All this while they are trying to manage Jackson Lake. Looking at the forecast coming up, by next weekend or so we may see if they can let water out fast enough again.

Not sure when they will start filling it up. It is a t 26% full and they are letting out 22,500 cfs. From the looks of it there is still plenty of snow up high. With the weather forecast for next week looking good it will be interesting to see what will happen [:/]

Water was still pretty muddy. We did see quite a few fish working the surface . It is amazing how fast they can fill the reservoir if they want to.
