I think I am rested enough from my 13 hour marathon fishing trip to type this report. I got started with John at 11:30 lastnight at riverpark. It took a little bit but he and I figured out . We fished hard and threw a variety of baits, but the spinnerbait ended up rulling the night. I won't bore you with all the little details, but the fish were anywhere from 2-7 ft and were aggressive ! Didn't catch too many dinks , most just nice bass. All the spots were decent 14-15 inchers, had quite a few largemouth with a couple of them going over 3lbs. And we got two smallies. One was about 15" anf the other was a dink. We pulled out of the ramp at 5:30. John headed home and I headed to the ramp above the dam on Chick. Met Louie and Adam there right at 6am. . Started out throwing top water. Lb and I got a couple really nice keepers with that. After that, we hit the ledges and stayed out on em. Marked school after school of fish !!! The first one was probably the most active but I totally screwed it up ( no suprise there) . Both of them were catching fish while I would hook em, but they kept pulling off ! Hit quite a few schools today and we pretty much caught a few at every place. Caught some good ones today too. Adam lost an absolute beast right at the boat when it jumped and threw his lure. I of course had to make sure and throw a junk fish in the mix ( I am really cursed !!!) . I got a great bite on a jig, rared back and got a great hookset. It started coming up, but then started peeling drag ! I knew then it wasn't a bass. Ended up being a great big blue cat. A few casts later I threw out a shakeyhead, felt a good hit, set the hook and caught a crappie !!! Man do I suck !! Anywho. We caught another limit or so and pulled out right around 12:30. So I fished for 13 straight hours, and loved every minute of it. Came home, slept for 5 hours and now i'm ready for bed again ! Hopefully Adam will email me some pictures from today. John and I didn't take any since it was dark.
