I was at Walmart today to pick up some stuff for fishing tomorrow. I stopped by their small appliance area and found a Rival blender for $13.58 so I bought it to make chum bombs.
I looked up the receipe here and decided to change it up. Cutting up some left over anchovies from last weeks fishing, I also added some Yum garlic scent, anise and fish flavored canned cat food for filler. The cheap blender worked fine using the "pulse" setting and I even tried blending whole anchovies. Worked like a charm (the blender in now officially for fish guts only).
I then poured several 5 oz plastic cups to freeze. I figure I'll cut off the plastic with a sharp knife to remove the chum bomb. I always carry a small trash bag for waste produced on the water.
We'll see if it works tomorrow, fish cooperating of course.
