Hey everyone! I am planning a trip up to the north fork next week sometime. Just wondering if anyone has been up there fishing and how you have done? I know they are stocking it on Monday, do the fish bite right away or does it take some time to actually catch them? I fish mostly bass, trout is a whole other world to me. Any info would be great! Thanks in advance!

My dad and grandpa have always used the rule of never trying the north or middle forks of the boise, until at least the 4th of July. I have almost always found that to be true... Usually even later with snowpacks like we have...

I agree with crappyslayer, it is probably a little early for the North Fork and I'm concerned you are going to make that long nasty drive and find a blown out river.

and

according to those the north fork is very high...

Holy cow 3600 cfs faster than what it should be! Thats not sounding to good to me. Thanks for the help guys! Still kinda curious how the fish react after just being planted? Also wondering what high flows do to these fish? Does it just keep them in one spot? I know it will cause salmon to not run, but i dunno about trout. Thanks guys!
