caught over 50 with the biggest about 1 3/4. caught them on everything but plastics were still the best. water ranged from 60 to 64. for free fishing day there were not too many people taking advantage of it .

Yeah I was surprised about the lack of people out on American Falls. I guess every one forgot.

Thanks for the report

Thanks for the report.

Have not fished Strike since March... Need to get back there! Have a tourney there next month and know nothing about that water. Where were you doing most of your fishing?

I don't know what is going on at strike, but it is nothing like it has been in the past.. Maybe the water is still too cold or something...
I set out my crawdad trap and got nothing... I tried tossing jigs, a soft plastic crawdad, fished shallow coves, off dropoffs, with worms, tried crappie nibbles. I had one tiny bite all day. I watched numerous boats fishing and didn't see any pulling in fish. Talked to a few guys targeting bass, and they said it was very slow.. I even tried on the bottom in a few spots with worms and couldn't catch anything....
My biggest catch of the day, was the large pontoon boat that ran out of gas, and I towed them back to a dock at black sands..

no joke we caught 50 smallies up the snake no largies this time. caught 4-5 on jerks 10 to 15 crankin and the rest on green pumpkin. strike is my best bang for buck for gas prices. up the snake is the ticket for me. the bruneau needs to be a little warm for me to venture.

The last 10 years ive had at least decent fishing in the bruneu ARM. Guess I need to try the snake ARM next time. I hate learning how to fish a new area. Lucky for me I like tolling for trout, and fly fishing on the middle fork of the boise will come into play in anothter month.
