and were getting skunked, I was targeting LMB and I even spotted one enormous one who I could not get to bite anything...she was suspended under a tree and I made perfect cast after perfect cast and she wouldn't budge 
..I switched the kids to a stick with string and a small worm hook and they clobbered the bluegill...they had a blast catching fish on a home made pole 
. For the life of me I cant figure that bass out...I even went to a trusted technique that has never failed me, and NADA...oh well you win some you lose some... she was at least a 22 incher and FAT!!!
