Anyone fished green river lately? I have some friends coming from out of state for a few days and would like to fly fish green river by the end of the month. I hope the high flow would not be a disappointment to them. Any info helps. Thanks!

They are dumping 9000 cfs. If they are planning on bank fishing they may encounter some issues with the trail being under water. Some of the board walks might be blown out. In 1990 when they went to 10,000 cfs they washed out several sections which made hiking the trail problematic. I read one of the guide blogs tonight - poor dry fly fishing, good nymphing, fair streamer fishing and few cicadas.
The big issue will be timing. Whenever they change the flow significantly it takes a few days for the fish to adjust. It would disappointing to travel all the way over there only to find they dropped the flow 3000 cfs the night before. Given the current weather and the snow pack they may keep the flow up for some time.

The trail from the Dam Launch to Little Hole is CLOSED. Some hiking can be done on "B". Not much but some.
