Went with some friends to Swan. To be honest, I didn't think we'd catch anything with the river the way it is, but was pleasantly surprised to pull this pig out.



Good times, I wasn't anywhere near my rod and it came flying off my rod holder and almost into the water. Caught one more decent sized cat then realized it was 2:30 in the morning and packed my stuff up and left. We had consistent bites almost all night, but never could get them to really latch on. Needless to say, the sturgeon pole sat in the water and was only recast 3 times. And once was to take my buddy's spot. haha!

Nice cat. I have to go that direction 1st of August. Maybe I will have to give that area a try.

On the south side. We were on the first point just south of the dam. It gave me and another guy on the forum here a little more faith in Swan- will probably try again Tuesday night if I don't drag myself out to Steck.

Good fish. I fish that point a lot. Haven't had much luck this year with the water being so fast. Last year i was going there a couple times a week and usually did pretty well.
