Went out to Utah Lake with rustrob last night with the pontoon to see what we could hook into. We got on the water about seven and started working the weeds. We had a couple of bites but nothing too serious. We headed to the Bubble Up to see what we could do. On arrival we started throwing cranks and met a member of the forum. Thanks to Therapist for pointing us in the right direction and then giving us a pull there. We kept throwing cranks until dark. Minutes before the sun went down my crank suddenly stopped. I set the hook and the fight was on. I am new to Utah Lake but knew this was not a white bass. When I got it in close enough to see it was a walleye I was pumped, my first one. Not a monster but I can't wait to cook him up tonight.

We got off the water a little after dark and headed to Lindon Harbor to fish for cats off the dike. It wan't fast and furious but we did manage a couple. the largest of the night was 26". A little windy but still a great night out.

Nice!!! - any walleye is a nice walleye! [Smile]
and only a 26" incher? Looks like a freaking hog to me! What did it eat? I'll bet it put up a good fight!

But what - no white bass? [:p] I know - no one wants to hear about them anymore. [pirate]

Nice post - glad you got on some, and thanks for sharing.
Glad that you were able to score !!! Glad to be able to give you a tow and save your arms and legs for more important things.
