We went to Brownlee (steck Park ) area this last weekend. We couldn't get anything to bite. WE caught two cat fish one each night we were there. We also had a group of about ten people! They weren't even biting. The water levels are way up from a month ago and we noticed that over the weekend the water level raised at least a foot and a half since we got there.

That seems odd. When we were there last week, the water was rising at least a foot a day and we caught fish every day. Even the night fishing was pretty good ... spotty and in spurts, but when they bit, it was one after another for a while.
What were you using for bait and where exactly were you fishing?

We used ripe livers minnows cut bait and worms... We fished close to the new boat ramp at steck ...

We were there last night and it was definitely slow... and WINDY. We caught 4 fish. We fished from 9pm-1am and 3 of the fish all came around 12:15am-1am. When the water level was lower, it sure was easier to find them. Now with it almost being full pool I'm sure they've dispersed quite a bit.
I guess its all about compromise. Low water levels- nasty current. High water levels- peaceful current. No wind- tons of bugs. 30mph wind- no bugs. haha, I'll probably complain when I win the lottery too [
