Had to hit Willard today with all the posts about the melee starting. I wanted to see if there were any fish left, after everyone else has been cleaning up on them. Finally scored a bunch. 8-10 feet of water, Worm-harness' and silver spinner blades. 6 feet of leader and 1 1/2 ounce bottom-bouncers. Fishing was tremendous. Nailed a 8-9 pound class carp as well. Oddly enough both my buddy and I caught 4 carp on the bouncers along the wayside. Caught a walleye as well as a lone 11 inch crappie. The bugs were murder till the breeze picked up. Tremendous day all in all. Met a few fellow BFT'ers to start hope you guys did well. Fishing looked slow...

Water temp was 69 by the time we left and the air temp was 80 or so. Thanks Fish Gods!

That's almost comical pitting a Crappie next to them Wipers. But really - congrats on both. Sounds like you had a good day out. Awesome!
Planning to dabble some of Coyote's new worm-harness rigs out to them fiesty beasts sometime soon. Grr - sounds like the bugs are in though. Gotta appreciate - they're part of the cycle (but damned annoying when they are in the eyese/nose - etc.) . . . note to self, more dots on blades.

Guess we'll hope for breezy days ( I should'na said that!!)
