where is a good place to float tube for white bass, or bass on the west side of Utah Lake

The knolls is great, less "pleasure craft", Saratoga Springs is nice but almost a serious Health threat on some weekends to a tuber. My best white-bassing has been Lincoln Beach. Nothing but Whitey's and Cats. Not to many gills and crappie though.

Are you kidding me there are tons of pan fish along both sides of the dikes people just dont fish for them . I dont target them but but on ocassion i doj ust for fun just cast next to any brush and they are there.

Apologies are due, I don't fish the Brush because there are to many Largemouth bass. I HATE largemouth. And I usually don't target the bluegill either. I fish in a canoe and leave the Dikes and Brush to the Banktanglers. I thought he was just after the whitey's in particular as well and Those submerged points by the "orchard" or "parking lot" are always full up with whiteys. Some days it takes an hour to figure'm out but they are always there in force.

The whole west side of UL has WB in it, and the Bass can be found near springs or structure in and around the harbors. The Knolls or Pelican would be great starts.

Ok, before you guys go off on eachother, what is the best thing to fish to catch multiple species, and where is the best place to put in at, I have both a one man pontoon, with trolling motor, and a float tube. Im going friday morning so i hope to miss all the extra traffic on the lake

LOL. All those places are great. Jigs work, bottom bouncers, jig and bobbers will keep you in the panfish. Bait for cats, especially cut carp or cut white bass. Walleyes really like plastics and crank-baits.

So I can put in at pelican bay and be ok?

Also if anyone is interested in joining me, let me know

I don't know about the name of "pelican bay". But the lake is full of whitebass. Any rocky point should have an adequate supply, and against the deeper submerged weeds and other structure you will find the gills and crappie. 4 to 8 feet deep or there about are good places to start depending on time of day. Love to join ya, but going to be out of town.
