Got out there around 5pm and fished till near dark. Winds were so severe, I got dragged into shore even with the anchor down. So, rather than fight it, I just pulled the boat up and fished from shore til the weather changed.

Nothing too exciting. Pulled out 6 bass, largest only 14", one 10" perch, and a dozen bluegill.

Still, given how dirty the water was from the weather, I'm grateful to have caught anything at all.

And it was CERTAINLY better than working.

[cool]Hmmm.. Interesting... This is usually the time of year when the gills and perch really turn on. I'm starting to get excited about floating that great little panfish lake soon... I know a couple of BFT guys in that area that I should contact soon. Nathan? Derek? Sounds like a Mantua float trip is in order soon!
