FIshing at 6:00. Fish were slow to hit at first then found a dock where I persuaded 6 or 7
keepers to hit. Using 1/32 oz. jigs in my usual of late BG Outlaw Special and Ghastly Minnow
colors.A 15 count with a sllow retrieve in 15 ft. of water. I knew rain was coming, I just didn't care.
It looked bad with dark clouds but I saw no lightning.I had the rain suit and the fish started to hit
better. I got the nose of the boat under a big dock and picked off crappie while letting the bulk of the rain pass.
Once it cleared, I kept chasing dock fish most of the day and catching nice crappie. My 50th crappie
was my best at 14 3/4 in. My 27th 14in. crappie of the year. Very few boats on the water in the afternoon
with slick water. Willow flies were out pretty heavy, covering docks and overhanging trees. I talked to Maddog
and his fishing partner( sorry I can't remember his name ), as I was finishing under WT bridge. I quit at 5:30
with 59 keeper crappie. All released.
