After fishing Willard 4 or 5 times in the last couple years and only managing 2 very small catfish, I got an invite from Wiperhunter2 to try and help me catch some fish. We met at the South marina yesterday and fished the South and west dike area. There was a chop on the water first thing, but calmed down by mid morning. Water temp at 7 am was 67 and warmed up to 71 by 2 pm. When the breeze would quit, the bugs would get almost unbearable. We trolled various crankbaits, none working much better than another, but managed to put a few wipers in the net. I got the dreaded smell off me, and learned alot about fishing "Bug Bay" Thanks Curt, I had a great time, hope to fish with you again!
