I've had several and absolutely love my current unit. Can't say that about the previous units I've had. First of all I've had Magellan, Lowarance and Garmins. The best of the best is Garmin's 76CSX. Its awesome and very stingy on batteries. Two AA batteries last a LONG time. I wasn't so sure I was going to like the electonic compass feature that cost an extra $50 over the 76CS, but its worth every penny. You don't have to move before the unit tells you which way to go to the waypoint. Without the compass you need to start walking/driving/boating to the next site and then you might have to turn around. It saves a lot of time and frustration....at least for me.
