Well me and the wife hit willard today and I did good no Big eyes but I did limit out and lost a few more at the boat.. We found out that color can make or break you when the fish get tight mouthed about what they want to eat... Me and the wife both had on rattle traps mine was yellow and hers was blue.. She never got a bite... I boated 6 eyes and one wiper all the eyes where small and the wiper was about 3.5# the lake was like glass and the bugs drove me crazy but I love those walleyes so we stayed out till dark....I did notice a lot of fish slurping off the top taking the bugs I guess? I do know that I did see a couple wipers that where small taking bugs off the top and I did see a lot of carp jumping but I was sure that I was seeing wipers eating bugs off the top...

Please if you have a good Walleye recipe please share

Old school:
Real butter bubbling is cast iron skillet.
Lightly salt and pepper fillets.
Cook till done.
Serve with Lemon wedges and 6 pack of high-end cold beer.
