Hello everyone. I am somewhat new to the site. I was wondering if you all could help steer me in the right direction? I am interested in pursuing Tiger Trout. What waters would you recommend? Of course I will be pursuing them with a fly rod. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you looking to fish for Tigers in rivers or stillwater ?
Tigers can be found across state in Stillwater , Scofield, Rockport & Huntington come to mind head over to the DWR site for a listing of all the lake and reservoirs that have tigers.
The Weber & Price River have Tigers Ive caught a few up in the Taggart/Croyden areas. Havent been up there for a few months due to the Spring Runoff but there in there.

Not any more. All the fish from the Weber are feeding the wipers in Willard!!

ack! im hoping the higher water will make a great fishery this fall

I know they've been planted in Hyrum, but they were fingerlings a year ago.
Doesn't Birch Creek have them (duohh! Shoulda said that!)
Me too I hoping the higher flows clean the debris and create more eddies for the fish. I have a feeling by the end of the summer \ fall should be epic for bigger fish. [angelic][angelic][angelic]

I hope the higher waters=stellar late summer/fall fishing. I am dying to catch some bigger ones!

You mentioned the Price river. I have never fished that river, but I am very interested to. You fished it much? If so, any recommendations? I am not asking for secret spots (I understand and respect the secret fishing locations). Thanks.

Its been a few years since ive been up there but We usually start out at the dam there were 2 roads to get there. I know in the past when they were doing work on the dam they fenced the road off but that was a coulple of years ago. Maybe someone who been up recently can chime in.

Vernon Reservoir has them also.

Lots of tiger trout in the Uintah lakes. Last year, that's all I caught. They weren't huge, but they were hungry. I tied on a dry fly and put a prince nymph about 2-3 feet under it and they loved it.

There are some tigers in the Beaver Mountain lakes also. I've caught them in Kents and a couple of other places. (And summer has actually come to the mountains near Beaver . . .)

Grassy lake above Joes valley is full of tigers, as well as whitney res in the unitas. Lots of fun places in this state to go catch the la TIGRE!
