PELL CITY, AL - It all started at ICAST 2006 when the Vicious Fishing team entered the show as an unknown entity. At that point the brand was no more than an idea on paper. The genuineness, hard work, and "have fun first" personality has paid off with a brand that in just five short years has built a legitimate company in the outdoor industry.
The first products introduced under the Vicious Fishing name were the U.S. made Vicious Fishing Ultimate Mono, 100% Fluorocarbon and Offshore lines that starting shipping in 2006. Since that time, the company has kept the majority of its focus on the line category with the introduction of Braid, Panfish, Panfish Ice, and All-purpose lines. The most recent debut was in 2010 with the very successful launch of the Pro Elite Fluorocarbon line and leaders.
Over the past 6 months, the brand has started to expand on the product offering. Through a strategic search for quality manufacturers capable of developing solid products, Vicious Fishing is now building on the family of products under the brand umbrella while maintaining the value proposition of offering every day anglers more "bang for their buck". Products now sold under the Vicious name include baits, eyewear, headwear, rain gear, line selection tools, decals, and many more products to be announced at the upcoming ICAST show.
"The dream started as just that, a fantasy about a family-owned company built upon a lifestyle that I believed in. I surrounded myself with what I believe is the best team around, we've got something to be real proud of," exclaimed Jeff Martin, Vicious Fishing President. "We've been fortunate to meet some great people along the way including an amazing pro staff, tournament team, industry peers, writers, and fans. We really wouldn't have made it this far if weren't for the input and relationships we have with many of the people that have crossed our paths. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for us over the next 5 years."
