Hey everybody. I'm heading down to the park in two weeks and I'd like to hit Greebe Lake since I haven't been there for a few years. Does anybody know what sorts of hatches I should expect, or any particularly productive patterns?
Any advice would be appreciated. PM's are cool to...

I don't know of any particular hatches but I am planning on fishing there next week. I usually use royal wolfs, adams, elk hair caddis etc... in other words just the generic flies have worked fine for me in the past.

Same goes for the the nymphs the prince, pheasant tails hairs ears, seem to work just fine.

I have noticed that the rainbows seem to like leech patterns with red in them like the california leech or a red sparkle bugger black hackle.

I sure love those litte rainbows when they go air born and the grayling are just cool. I will let you know how I do when I go.

The fish that I have caught there really liked a purple marabou leach with some flash in it. Just remember that in the park they dont allow lead. I had to tie some flies up that were lead free like 10 mins before we left to fish it. It is fun, the grayling are a kick in the pants. Have fun and take your bear spray, Just had some hikers mauled last week. One was killed. Or your 357 would work if you can get it buy the ranger
