Gary (Biofisher) and I launched from HBSP this AM for a 1/2 day of crappie fishing. We started off catching more bass than crappie for a while. Gary had 1 yellow bass, 2 nice spotted bass, and I had 1 white bass, 1 smallmouth bass, and a 4.0 lb largemouth bass. All on Bobby Garland crappie jigs on a breakline. Gary later caught 2 more yellow bass and a channel catfish. I added 2 blue cats along with the rest of our crappie catch.

We finished up with 22 keepers, 21 over 11" inches long. One 10.5 incher was thrown back after a severe lashing. emoBig We didn't get any TARP crappie today, but our largest was 13.75 inches long. We had 19 fish between 12 and 13.75 inches.

We ran to the creek and saw the KID up there and he and Smoke had already cleaned out my favorite dock up there. He said that they caught 33 crappie under that dock. He didn't catch them all though, cause we caught 7 more after they left. emoUp I thanked him for the hat and we had a good chat and shared lures and stuff like that. We also saw Captain Hazmat and friend up there in the creek trying to get his friend a double limit of crappie. They had about 8 when we last talked to them.

We left the creek and went to off shore structure again and caught several more crappie and a couple of catfish before it got so hot that we decided to quit. I had a great time, Gary and looking forward to sharing the boat with you again soon.

My favorite color today was silverfish. Biofisher found a Southern Pro that had a silver finish and he dipped the tail to make it look similiar to the silverfish and it produced for him as well. Great morning to be out, but as I file this report, a thunderstorm has just passed the house and I hope that the Captain and friend has taken shelter. Now it is nap time. ZZZZZZZZZ. emoBig emoGeezer
