Went up to Pineview Saturday morning to go for some musky and smallies...or anything else that would bite a hook. We got to the Cemetary Point ramp gate at 6AM, and to our chagrin found it didn't open til 7AM. So we drove to the Anderson Campground ramp and found it was closed and labeled full. Finally, continuing on to Port Ramp we paid the $10 and launched.

We went into the east side of the north arm and started marking fish in 10-18ft of water. Caught 1 smallie on a spinnerbait and 1 bluegill on a worm in the morning. There were a few muskys on top making some noise but we couldn't get them to bite. We fished another couple of hours working into the north end of the arm and caught another 2 smallies.

About 11AM we went up the middle arm near Cemetary Point but didn't mark fish and couldn't buy a bite even on a worm. So we motored over to the south arm and fished back in a cove to escape the Armada-Power-Squadron on the lake by this time. We finally marked a few fish and had some small nibbles but nothing. There was a comrade anchored in the back of the inlet who caught a couple smallies on worm and a bobber while lunching with his wife.

We headed back to our original spot in the north arm and picked up a couple of 5-6lb carp. One on a rapala and another on a worm, and 2 more smallies on tubes. Muskys were nowhere to be found. We decided to troll around the north arm and then call it a day. We hadn't been trolling more than 20 seconds when we had a musky on a #5 gold Blue Fox super vibrax. We reeled him in and released him at the side of the boat. Judging from the leader length he was 42" and very fat. We trolled around another 30 minutes with nothing. Left about 2PM.

Not a bad day at all. Probably would be a lot better without the traffic on the water though.
