Mikes dad(Mike) is in town from New York so we wanted to take him fishing. We met up bright and early around 630 and headed to Wolftever. I launched Mike in the boat and parked, once I got back to the boat bad news....cranking battery is dead. Oh well, we troll over the the bridge pilings and drop some minnows and throw some BG's. It didnt take long before we started boating crappie. We kept 14 and trolled over to the bank and gave them to a gentleman, and went back to for more. We caught 10 or 11 more and gave them to another boat that was crappie fishing as well. All fish were caught in about 15-25ft of water with minnows and BG Ghastly Minnow. It was a blast trolling and looking for crappie. Mikes dad had a nice little channel cat break him off at the boat, and he was the bluegill king today. We boated more crappie but were throw backs, 1 spotted bass (that spit someones chartreuse tube out when he jumped), some white bass, and a bunch of bluegill. There was some current when we first started and the bite was great, then it stopped and so did the bite, we moved around a little and found them again. Anyway fun day on the water, great 3 hour trip, and we fed some families. Sometimes I wished that I ate fish so I could take them home and clean um! Water temp around 84-85 the whole time-15-25ft of water. No pics because we donated the crappie. Camping at Chester Frost next weekend, maybe we will see some CFF'ers there.
