Has anyone been into White Pine this summer? If so when and how is the trail for mud and snow and how was the fishing? How about crowds I heard it was pretty crowded last weekend but my source rode a horse from bunchgrass so he didn't know trail conditions and wasn't fishing. Just hoping to take the kids up for an over nighter and wanted to know what to expect. If you fished and dont mind giving away the hot lure you can PM that to me if you dont mind I'll take both fly and spin rods just in case Thanks.

I've heard they stock Tony's Grove with the usual planter bows, though I gather they mostly winter kill.
Fly and Bobber can make it happen.
Also heard they don't stock White Pine, but don't know personally. Maybe they've got bitty brookies?
Have you fished it before? Going over from TG? Some steep switchbacks for sure. But oughta be beautiful!
White pine does have brookies and a rare cutthroat or two. It isn't like the Uintas by any means but it's the only similar stuff up LC. My brother and I started a family tradition 6 or 7 years ago where we take our kids up and camp over night and fish a little. We've been known to pack our belly boats and toon in with us and it's usually the most relaxing hour of my year. Don't plan on eating fish but you can usually catch a few and they are beautiful. It is about a 4.5 mile hike from TG. Kids love to camp in the tents and gives them a chance to develop skills before they get into scouts. Our girls love it too. Probably be a lot different this year with the snow pack still heavy in places up there. But I don't think the kids will let us delay it till later.
