<br /> Went out to scout for some fresh water and some deep ledges as the dog days approach. Started out in an area Jerry and I fished during the CFF with some luck and quickly caught 2 short fish on a 7 inch worm. Then decided to explore new water and marked some fish on some channel ledges close to my original spot. Caught 2 bass (1 might have kept) and an ugly ole catfish on a drop shot senko bathed in megastrike. Moved onward to some deep docks close to the river channel and caught a single fish (biggest bass of day - 16 inches) on a worm. Finished the day by catching 6 white bass and 2 largemouth from some schoolers upriver outside of one of the marinas. <br /> Right now I am catching fish, just not the quality that you need this time of year to be competitive. Hit the water around 5:30 and headed home around 8:30. While the temperature is hot, my fishing has definitley cooled down.
