Hit the FUgE last night for a few hours.. got some decent fish ... no monsters just some normal brbr cats! Bite was consistant from 1130 to 230am an slowed down as usual... we caught probably 10 or so and called it a night...
water is finally low and slow and they have finished the paving job really nice smooth ride out there...

here's a few pics, nothing special but Definitely a good time [cool] caught a male with his spawn hat on lol his head was as big as mine Haha enjoy

Was wondering when ya'll stop pestering the Musky and smallies, and turn attentions to the summer cats! Those males really are dark, and fat-headed! Nice fish.

Mind if I ask what kind of bait/rigs you tend to use? (pm if fine) Do you shine lights to bring them in at night? (along with the bugs no doubt?!). May have to see about coming down and trying that launch. Ever take a float out there?

Good to hear the flows are slowing. Noticed that along the upper part of the bear the other day. Met my first Bear River Crappie! Game's afoot!
Thanks for the report.
I was up there last night and caught nothing but little dinks... we don't keep em, just like to catch em... Any idea on where along the river I might get some bigger one's? PM me if you would like and like I said I don't keep any... I would appreciate it thanks!

The whole river has big cats .... just gotta get away from the spots that get hammered daily.. I have been fishing out there for probably 8 yrs... it took me 3 yrs to consistantly catch fish...

Yote! Yes I Do float it occasionally, just use slabs of meat with little or no weight on 2/0 to 4/0 circle hooks. The light doesn't really attract them.. just keeps my rods in site.

this is the absolute truth for catfishing. i only fish Utah Lake and it's the same story. We catch cookie cutters from shore, but you gotta go where the people ain't. Sometimes that means out of the comfy boat or a little walk somewhere not accessible by vehicle or boat or wading out chest high to get to a secluded spot.

No, I won't PM locations. It's taken us a lot of work to find spots that consistently produce cookie cutters.

Whatchomean? You could always post a map like TD does - with a "couple" of X's to mark the spots.

This one makes me chuckle, because it pretty much says - ALL OVER THE PLACE!
Of course if you're TubeDude - you could catch cookies out of the toilet!

Or that freaky dream I had when I was fishing in my living room- and that bobber just kept diving through the wood floor on EVERY CAST! It was wicked (until my alarm went off [frown])
