Started out fairly well today but then started to struggle. Had five nice bass that we culled a couple but never had much size. A couple started to look poor so we culled those. Had one good four pounder that hit a c-rig and the rest were on jigs, cranks, shakeys and even one on a spook. We were looking to cull up and moved up river at 1:30. There were tons of play boats and party boats all over the lake. Boating up river we came into waves of about five big boats in a row. emoEek My boat was getting beat to death. Just when I thought it was about as bad as it was going to get we hit a really big one, when my boat came down hard the trolling motor bracket broke in half. emoDoh emoBawl Still had over two hours before it would be over and we were dead in the water without a trolling motor. emoBadLanguage Told Colby it was just not our day and I was ready to call it a day without the trolling motor to use. I weighed our five we had and they went 13 lbs and 14 ozes. Not really enough to worry about but I would have stayed to weigh them if we had not lost the trolling motor. I secured it the best I could and after releasing our fish we limped on home. emoAngry Jmax
