I'm not sure you chose the proper handle for a guy who has never caught a walleye in Idaho.[Wink]

I' can't say anything since I haven't either.

Yeah, my handle is wishful thinking. I have been trying for over a year to catch a walleye, with no success.Maybe tomorrow.[fishon]

I have only caught a few last year at Onieda. I was using a crawfish colored wooly bugger, and fishing it deep over the rocks on some of the points. Bouncing it on some of the rocks fairly slowly. I probably was just lucky at catching some, but it was fun! I caught a carp on it too.

ive had some consistent luck with them at onida tube jigs!!! and a Carolina rigged worm work them both very slow work from 5 to 15 feet of water colors i did best with green with a silver flake in them... this is what works for me... oh and a good ole hook and crawler do pretty good jigging across the bottom... good luck to ya..

I've caught them on a lot of different things there. Last week I caught a decent one on a small crankbait while chasing smallies. I've also caught them on long lipped jerkbaits, ribbed worms, shakey heads, tubes, reapers, and the old walleye standard, a 3" curly tail grub on a 1/8 ounce head.

Crank baits and jigs. This one was on a crank about two weeks ago. Good luck!
