The Logan is still fairly high and rapid, but nothing like it was a month ago.

Blacksmith Fork I have no idea. I bet 12inchlunker will chime in soon with that one.

What part of the river? There was a post a couple weeks back talking about the upper Logan being pretty fishable.

Lunker would tell that @Blacksmit - the banks are steep and the rocks are hard. Ouch!

Lower Logan might still be 'bout like this:

(maybe I'll schwing by on the way home)

My inline's just never seem to work. Grff!

Curious - you taking the toons, or planning on river casting? The 3 dams are pretty floatable. Taken my orange inflatable kayak on all three a number of years back.
The area above 3rd dam has some nice wadable area along the south side - above the bridge.
The upstream tip of 2nd dam has a good point where two branches of the river converge, and it's pretty open as far as the tree cover. There are some good pools that drop out from that rocky point. You can't park at the east end anymore.
I drove up Logan Friday and down Sunday from Bear Lake. The river looked pretty good to me. I saw a few fishing higher up, and the dams were packed with people. I stopped at 3rd dam for 30 min, water was pretty clear, I saw a few fish swimming but they wouldn't take anything I offered.

I was up last weekend as well and it's looking really good. I didn't get to wet a line but I really wanted to. It is high for this time of year but clarity is getting really good. Good luck J.

I fished the blacksmith a little a week ago and it is very high for this time of year. Wouldn't get in much below left hand and water is fairly stained. We fought some fish down low but also lost some spinners cause the river was running so fast. The high water line from this spring was a good 5 1/2 feet higher than where it is now. Pretty wild! Went for a horse ride last week and only looked at the Logan from the road, its a lot of white water all the up to tony grove/ red banks area. I would either go high or check below 2nd dam.
