I'm thinking about fishing for catfish on cutler and wondering if anyone knows where to fish from the bank for success?

I'm no expert - but pm sent.

Lots of water, lots of fish varieties. It's the finding that's always challenged me.

Up to 4 species from that mud puddle now, but there's at least 2 more that I've been hankering to find into.

Honestly I have tried all over the banks near CJ docks and bridge and a few areas that are a hike to get to. My success has been any better in one area then another. I also think it has a lot to do with time of day now...I get a lot of bites 8am-11am then kind of goes dead for about 3 to 4 hours. But that is only my experience. Maybe someone with more knowledge about presentation could help you out more.

Hey as long as I don't use worms the old Muddies seem to stay away!!!!! I get those really big ones that dive and end up wrapping my line around a magical tree and snapping it off! You know what I'm talking about Coyote!!! ;-)

Hey Lunker! what knot do you use?

I use a bow knot! Around the tree/make 2 bunny ears/wrap then through the hole and tighten!!! Something like that...then if you get a fish you don't like just untie it.... :-)

Are you allowed to catch anything besides carp with a bow?

99% of the fish you land, you landed? Then there was that one that flipped of and slipped down the bank. Or the one that found the hole in the net?

It was something about three loops over each other, then up through the hole. No frickin bunny about it! Sounds like you're teaching your kid to tie her shoes!
Besides - I thought it was "break the glass, scratch the tummy" - but maybe that's just for rockclimbing. RESL men (and women) go climbing (well, when I was younger and weighed less anyway! It's all relative. And I'm not your father either!)
