This post is for our trip on saturday, august, 13, 2011

This time I had worked out all the kink's on the outbaord motor and had everything organized and ready to go. We got up at 5pm Momma wolf and I and got our boy Jack loaded and road off into dawn. We reached PV and our boat started the day off running like a champ and never stopped. That was the real success! Then secound we got the suprise we all hoped for some sweet action on the lines. we started by the main dock and hugged the west side of the lake where all the trees and bushes are one with plastic storm trout, fishing to the shore, I had a huge tiger musky hit it and follow it in almost all the way to the boat intel he spotted me and he was gone, bummed , but fished on. We boated around the lake and fought through all the traffic, fished around then my wife had the great idea to go to the dam.

we anchored and changed up to some 2 inch grubs, my wife had pumpkin and I chose charteuse. we sat and baked in the sun throwing them to shore and slowly jigging and reeling them back to the boat. Then bam my wife hooked up one of smallest basses id ever seen looked just like my first one, but it still was a fish on and her first it made my day. Then to top it off she hooked onother and let me reel it in aww now that is a good women. Then she hooked another, so I changed to pumpkin and we moved to try to get out of the traffic by the dam.

we the found this cove on the west side right out out of the no wake zone. then I hooked up a small one then another got off then I retured the favor and let my wife reel one of mine up. We sat in in the cove and my wife watches a couple guys pull in two fatties fast like and shared their technique, genius, we then imitated. and oh man fishing slow pausing pumpkin grubs payed off with this wopper of bass booyah. We still want the tm but i could be totally happy with big bass. The rest of the day we hooked a few more and swam. What a great day!!!!! we are finaaly back

That SMB in the 1st picture is a great size for Pineview. Sorry to hear about your Tiger Muskie coming un buttoned. Same thing happened to my Twin (TyeDyeTwin) when he was using plastics. Near the bushes is a great place to look for those big fish. Those TM's are much like SMB's....where this is one...there are likely more nearby. Funny how they just feel like a snag that is slowly coming in and then once they breach....it is off to the middle of the lake so fast that I am surprised the reel does not start smoking. Good luck out there and thanks for the report.
